Introduction to Umango
Umango is a document data capture and routing application that automates the scanning, naming, indexing and storing of your documents. Batch scanning is the ability to scan large volumes of documents at one time utilizing the speed of the scanner to streamline the entire document naming and storing process.
Documents can be scanned directly into Umango from a connected TWAIN scanner or MFD (multi-function device) or can be imported from a number of "watched" sources including network folders, email, and cloud based storage systems. Using tools such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) zonal OMR, zonal OCR, barcodes, keywords, ODBC lookups and lasso OCR, documents are quickly indexed, named and stored ready for future retrieval. Umango can also export in numerous formats including the Word, Excel, Open Office, TIFF, PDF/A or text searchable PDF/A.
Creating and deploying Jobs in Umango has never been easier. Through the use of AI and built in Job Wizards you can simply and efficiently set up your jobs and start processing documents in no time. Umango also integrates with a wide range of supported MFD's which provides a quick and easy way to scan, process, verify and export Jobs at the device without any PC based application interface present.
Umango can export to a wide and growing range of on-premise and cloud-based back-office systems (such as SharePoint365, DropBox or Google G-Suite) and databases (such ERP and CRM systems) with the addition of unlimited flexibility through scripts and connectivity tools.
Umango provides flexible levels of automation from a very manual process where every piece of metadata is checked and carefully verified, through to full automation running as a background service where no user intervention is required.
