DateTime Merge Method

The DateTime merge method manipulates dates and times and converts them to the required format. Where no time is provided, the current date and time is assumed.

Usage

DateTime(Format)

Converts the current date and time to the format provided

DateTime([TextToConvert],[Format])

Converts the provided date and time to the format provided

DateTime([TextToConvert],[CultureCode],[Format])

Converts the provided date and time to the format provided while assuming a specific region culture

Parameters

 TextToConvert  Text (Optional)

A text value that can be interpreted as a date and/or time. Examples include:

31-Dec-21
31-12-2021
31/12/2021
2021-7-28
2021-7-28 6:34
2021-7-28 6:34 PM

Default: The current date and time

 CultureCode  Text (Optional)

A region culture based on the ISO 639 standard.

Default: The language culture of the Umango server

 Format  Text

A format specifier describing the way the resulting date/time should be presented. See the format options below for further details.

Examples

Example 1

Default a zone's value to today's date.

In this example, the result would be "02-02-21"

Example 2

Default a zone's value to the current date and time.

In this example, the result would be "02 Feb 02:32"

Example 3

Name a document based on a the value of a zone called "OrderDate".

In this example, the result would be "02-04-2021"

Example 4

Name a document based on a the value of a zone called "OrderDate". Expect the date to be in the French culture format "fr".

In this example, the result would be "02 Mar 2021"
