Kyocera Embedded App

Overview

In order to install the Umango embedded app, the device must support Kyocera HyPAS. On HyPAS capable devices that do not have an integrated hard disc (typically the ECOSYS series devices) an external memory card (CF or SD Card according to the device specifications) must be added to enable the execution of HyPAS apps and this includes the Umango app.

Installation of Embedded App

In order for Umango jobs to be launched from the device, the Kyocera embedded Umango app must be installed on the device. This is installed in the same way any Kyocera embedded application is installed via USB drive. The latest release of the .pkg file is available for download from the dealer portal within the Kyocera technical section.

Once installed correctly, a Umango application icon/button should appear when pressing the button on the device.

When upgrading either the embedded application or the desktop application always ensure that the versions are compatible.
