Zone Types

Select a zone type that is suitable for capturing the data based on the region and the data type being read or entered. The zone types can be set for automation or can require users to select, browse, search or enter data. Umango offers eight different zone-type options:

    1. Key from Region - The user is prompted to enter text based on what they see in the zone's region of the document
    2. Barcode - Umango will read a barcode value from within the zone region of the document
    3. OCR Text - Umango will read machine print text from within the zone region of the document
    4. List of Values - The user is prompted to select a value from a list of option based on what they see in the zone's region of the document
    5. Optical Mark - Umango detects the presence of ink (eg. a check mark) and determines a value based on that
    6. ODBC Data Lookup - Lookup a value in a database. May be based on a user search
    7. Export Field - The user is prompted to browse or search for a value in a related export connector
    8. AI Field - The user is prompted to validate data that has been captured by the AI engine
